This is me

 

After 12 years working with 2 of the then best restaurant groups in the UK, I’ve been a senior restaurant marketing consultant for the past 9 years, mainly working as a drop-in CMO / Marketing and Commercial Director helping teams with strategy, new concepts, commercial strategy, branding & social media for a wide range of clients.

Back in 1999 I joined the marketing team of the coolest noodle brand on the block – wagamama. 7 years, 45 new openings (worldwide), 2 cookbooks and 1 lightening rise to ‘Head of Marketing’ later, my innovative approach helped me win The Caterer Award for ‘Best Website’ and an 'industry Oscar'  -a  Catey for ‘Best Group Marketing Campaign’ all whilst maintaining a healthy interest in noodles.
 

Then, Giraffe came calling and I figured it was time for a change.  Joining them as Head of Marketing in January 2007 when they had 10 sites and by the time I left in September 2011, they had 40 restaurants, and were considered a strong, well respected, ‘feel-good’ brand with one of the strongest following and engagement on twitter in the industry  Something my work for Giraffe won 2 social media awards for.

If i’m not in a restaurant, I may be tracked down at any art exhibition (fave is Pick Me up at Somerset House) watching MCFC, or WTF'ing out loud watching netflix documentaries.
